Looking back to when she first identified with Carey as a biracial woman, Meghan said, “I had read this article about Halle Berry, and they were asking her how she felt being treated as a mixed-race woman in the world.
They also discuss growing up mixed and the struggles of not fitting in or identifying with a specific race. "For us it's so different because we're light-skinned," Meghan says. "You're not treated as a Black woman, you're not treated as a white woman. You sort of fit in between."
