Sergio Perez's disabled car being lifted by cane at Monaco gave F1 rivals unusual look at a dominant car.
McLaren Formula 1 team principal Andrea Stella says the team is carefully studying detailed photographs of Red Bull's 2023 floor.
"Of course we look at the photos but you can't just copy a Red Bull or Mercedes floor. You first have to understand why they come to those solutions. If you don't understand the flow dynamics or the concept, then copying is useless." "Ultimately, each team has to find its own way to efficiently develop its own racing car," said Vowles.
"Myself, personally, I spent some time" looking at the photos, McLaren's Stella said. "But the 100 aerodynamicists at McLaren will be spending a little bit more time. It's very interesting indeed and shows the complexity and the quality of their development," he added. To be honest, when I saw it, I said hats off to Red Bull. I can understand why they have this kind of performance.

Used Ferrari F40 for saleWe are pleased to offer for sale this 1991 Ferrari F40 in Cat/Adjust specification. This incredible Ferrari, one of 78 UK supplied examples, has had only one owner from new and been fastidiously maintained. The F40, built to celebrate Ferrari's 40th anniversary, continued the extreme machine philosophy cultivated by its predecessor the GTO, but took it to new levels. The mid mounted twin-turbocharged V8 engine produced almost 500bhp, whilst the low dry weight of only 1100 kg was achieved with panels made of kevlar, carbon fibre and aluminium. The single owner of this F40 originally purchased the car via Maranello Sales in Egham, but was one of the few original owners to travel to Italy to collect the car from the Maranello factory in person. The car was then driven straight to Monaco, for the 1991 Monaco Grand Prix, where it was registered. The F40 was subsequently entered into several concours events in the 90's and 2000's, collecting multiple awards. It was ultimately registered in the UK 8 years later in June 1999. Having now covered 43,941 miles, included is an incredibly detailed history file dating back to the first correspondence from Maranello Sales, following the owner enquiring about 'the new Ferrari F40', right through to arranging collection. With no expense spared maintaining the car, services have been carried out almost annually with the most recent completed in April 2022, whilst a cambelt replacement took place in 2020 at 42,307 miles. The fuel tanks were replaced in 2018 at 38,416 miles. This is an exceptional example of the iconic Ferrari supercar - presented in Rosso Corsa, with the carbon fiber weave visible throughout, and original spec. of catalytic converter and adjustable suspension. The original tool kit and tyre repair kit are present and a Tubi exhaust was installed on the car in 2014. Contact Ian to arrange a viewing. Service History: Maranello Sales 29/04/94 | 7415 miles (inc. belts) Maranello Sales 07/07/95 | 8692 miles Maranello Sales
