In a press conference on Tuesday, the mayor of Anchorage discussed the possibility of buying homeless people one-way tickets to somewhere else to prevent deaths in the winter.
SAN DIEGO — The mayor of Anchorage, Alaska, listed San Diego as one of the potential places homeless people there might choose to go to if a new program comes to fruition.
“Someone says I wanna go to Los Angeles or San Diego or Seattle or Kansas. It’s not our business. My job is to make sure they don’t die on Anchorage streets," said Bronson.
