Mayor Eric Adams received a giant painting of himself as an early Christmas gift.
A source tells us the party-loving pol was at his pal Adam Clayton Powell IV’s holiday party at downtown NYC bar Hidden Lane last week, where he gave a speech and was presented with a huge portrait of himself. The work is by an Ecuadorian artist, called Gotasi, we hear. The painter did not respond to an email requesting comment.
The painting is a portrait of Adams, dressed in a suit, with a large image of the Statue of Liberty as well. The mayor wished everyone a safe holiday and thanked Powell for his early support during his campaign, sources told us.Adams also attended Powell’s shindig last year at the same venue, where he rubbed elbows with Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer and Nicki Minaj’s mother Carol Maraj.at our very own New York Post holiday party.
