Max Verstappen has again spoken of his dislike for F1 sprints, saying 'not much happens' and 'it's not really a race'.
Max Verstappen calls on F1 to just ‘stick to the main race on Sunday’Max Verstappen has again hit out at F1 sprints in the build-up to the third and last of those events for this season, which takes place in Brazil.
Verstappen has a 100% record in them this year, winning at Imola and Austria’s Red Bull Ring, while last season he took victory in the first one ever at Silverstone before finishing second to Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas at Monza and Interlagos. He has now had another ‘pop’, referring to the caution many drivers apply to sprints because they do not want to jeopardise their chances of a good result in the main event by getting involved in an incident that could potentially send them to the back of the grid.
