Lukaku snubbed a move to Saudi Arabia earlier in the transfer window while Inter Milan were unable to meet Chelsea’s asking price.
He was most recently linked to Juventus but the Italian side will only consider signing Lukaku if they can send Dusan Vlahovic in the other direction and Pochettino is not keen on the swap. Chelsea are now reportedly considering dropping Lukaku’s £35m price tag as they attempt to get him off the books at Stamford Bridge.
Pochettino was quizzed about Lukaku in Thursday’s press conference and said: ‘Don’t be sorry, you need to ask. No [I have still not spoken to him] as the situation has not changed.
