Matthew Stafford is being evaluated for a concussion again.
The Rams quarterback was sacked on a 3rd-and-8 during the third quarter of Sunday’s contest against the Saints and he left the game and didn’t return. Stafford, who had just cleared concussion protocol to be able to play against New Orleans, will now head back into the protocol.Stafford missed last week’s Rams game against the Cardinals while still in protocol. He was cleared from protocols on Friday, though.
He left the game having completed 11 of 18 passes for 159 yards with two touchdowns against New Orleans. The defending Super Bowl champions have not had a good 2022 campaign. They came into Sunday already having scored the third-fewest points in the NFL this season. The Saints also went on to win, 27-20, dropping the Rams to just 3-7.
