BREAKING: Matt Hancock eliminated from I’m A Celebrity in third place leaving viewers relieved.
Speaking to presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly following his exit, Hancock recognised that his stint in camp was ‘controversial’ given he is a serving MP.
‘I know that it was controversial me coming here, I know some people said people in your position shouldn’t put themselves in embarrassing situations,’ he said.Hancock faced a number of difficult questions, particularly from ITV newsreader Charlene White, over his handling of the coronavirus pandemic and how he broke his own social distancing guidelines.
‘Some were really enjoyable and a release because I could say exactly what I thought but some of them got very emotional,’ he told Ant and Dec. ‘I live with those reactions and I feel it bit what I was able to do – one of the things I’m really grateful for – is that we had grown-up conversations. There were discussions, but no aggro.’
