Laurence Henry wants to work on his own projects and has recently become a dad
MasterChef: The Professionals champion Laurence Henry is moving on from his role as chef patron of fine dining restaurant Cleaver & Wake which opened a year ago. Laurence, who impressed the judges to win TV's toughest cooking competition in 2018, plans to work on his own new projects.
Laurence, who grew up in Mapperley, and his partner Sera have recently become first-time parents to a baby boy called Arlo. “I’m now taking over the mantle from Laurence, who helped shape the Cleaver & Wake look and feel – creating something truly amazing for Nottingham. I will be using my passion and knowledge to take the brand forward with the support of the talented chef team here at The Island Quarter.
Hira, who also appeared on MasterChef: The Professionals 2020, added: “I'm passionate about training and helping people develop their skills, and it's an honour to be a part of such a talented team who produce amazing food. I’m also looking forward to cooking for guests from across the world, and hopefully picking up three AA rosettes as well as a Michelin star along the way.”
