Master of horror Dario Argento says his collaboration with msgm_ “makes nightmares come to life.”

It was a dark and eerie morning in Milan today. At least that was the case inside the show venue for Massimo Giorgetti’sAfter debuting a collaboration with Italian filmmaker Dario Argento for his menswear collection just a month ago, Giorgetti once again showcased a series of skirts, tops, and trousers printed with stills from some of Argento’s most iconic movies. There were frightening scenes from 1977’sand.

The master of horror was seated in the front row today to see his visual chillers in a new light . Argento says that in his eyes, “fashion, like life, is shaped by personal culture.” He adds, “Fashion, and specifically that of MSGM, managed to perfectly capture on fabric all of the many emotions one can find in my movies.” It’s true that clothes are in and of themselves vehicles for transcending reality, or at the very least they can be that if the wearer wants them to be.

Argento even felt a sense of escapism during the MSGM show this morning, explaining that “it was beautiful and exciting. I was moved by the mix of music and the images printed on fabric, just like those from my movies are impressed on film.” The collection was “so close to my world,” he notes.
