UPDATE: Masked knifeman threatens staff at Shrewsbury shop
The man, wearing a balaclava terrified staff at the Co-op in Mount Pleasant in the town on Monday morning.A spokesperson for West Mercia police said:"At just after 11.40am Monday police were called to the Co-operative Shop, in Mount Pleasant Road, in Shrewsbury.
"A man wearing a balaclava entered the shop and threatened members of staff with a knife and demanded money and cigarettes." Police said that shortly after the incident a 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of robbery and taken into custody.
