Jamie Carragher has hailed Emiliano Martinez’s late stop as ‘the biggest turning point’ in Argentina’s World Cup victory.

However the match only went as far as penalties due to a stunning late save from Aston Villa goalkeeper Martinez to deny Randal Muani with just a couple of minutes left on the clock.That save saw France wilt and Argentina rise in confidence, with Martinez feeling unbeatable as he prepared for the penalty shootout that they South Americans eventually won.
