It doesn’t take much to find a ball boy blunder online, and one of the Marlins’ ball boys can now find himself among them.
The ball boy sitting along the first base side of loanDepot Park on Thursday night mistakenly grabbed a fair ball hit down the line by the Dodgers’ Freddie Freeman in the top of the sixth inning, thinking it had been foul.The ball boy grabbed the ball with his glove in foul territory and then heaved it into the stands as Miami right fielder Jesús Sánchez was coming over to try to grab the ball.
The ball boy didn’t seem to realize what had just happened until he was getting ready to sit back down in his chair.
