Regulars of The Standard’s New York, Los Angeles, and Miami hotels would have felt well at home in London last night. After the doors opened from an elevator ride to the hotel’s 10th floor, one was greeted with the kind of party only The Standard could throw: infinite cocktails, infinite music, and an infinite sea of people to wade through.
That prize was well-celebrated, too, thanks to music by Mark Ronson and Q-Tip. “Uptown Funk,” of course, was on the playlist, though things really set off when Ronson and Q-Tip dug into aughts tunes which set the dance floor wild. I’d go into more detail of the grinding, boogying, and, you know, everything else, but like any good Standard regular knows, what happens there, stays there.
