Marisa Thalberg, former global chief brand officer of Taco Bell, has joined Lowe’s Companies as executive VP, chief brand and marketing officer—effective February 10
Marisa Thalberg, former global chief brand officer of Taco Bell, has joined Mooresville, North Carolina-based home-improvement company Lowe’s Companies as executive VP, chief brand and marketing officer, according to the company. Her appointment is effective February 10.For more than 25 years she has led marketing and brand transformation, most recently at Taco Bell, where she made headlines for disruptive campaigns and sales growth.
“Marisa is a world-class marketer and leader, and we are thrilled to have her join the Lowe’s leadership team,” said Lowe’s President and CEO Marvin Ellison, to whom she will report, in a statement. “Marisa brings extensive experience in building culturally resonant brands and delivering business value through marketing innovation and fresh thinking to inspire and engage customers. We are confident Marisa will lead our brand into an exciting new chapter for our customers and associates.
Thalberg served as the head of corporate digital and integrated marketing worldwide for The Estée Lauder Companies before joining Taco Bell, and she held various senior leadership roles at Unilever Cosmetics International, Sure Fit Inc. and Revlon. Early career experience includes stints at advertising agencies Saatchi & Saatchi and J. Walter Thompson.
