announced on Nov. 5 that Judge Shatrese M. Flowers has died. Judge Flowers presided over Marion Superior Court 28 and handled the most serious cases in Marion County.
Judge Flowers served as a Master Commissioner for the Marion Superior Court from 2005 until she was elected to the bench in 2014. She served as the Supervising Judge of the Jury Pool and the Arrestee Processing Center during her time on the court. Beginning in 2021, she served as an Associate Presiding Judge of the Executive Committee.
