Editor's Pick: Maria Hopes to Join the MuleBoyz With These Birkenstocks:

If they slip on with ease and add a little shuffle to your step, then congrats, you've joined the #mulement.
Now that I'm slowly starting to put my sandals and slides into storage for the fall and winter, it seems like perfect timing for me to stock up on mules. I have my eye on this Birkenstock Boston style, but instead of the classic, traditionally crunchy colorway of brown or beige, I'm opting for a black-on-black version made from EVA . That means that not only are these mules a versatile footwear choice, but they're also extremely lightweight and conveniently waterproof.
While the weather is still warm, I'll wear these mules barefoot; they're breathable but provide a little more coverage than your average sandal.
