Selection Sunday is over, meaning March Madness is nearly here. With the Final Four set to be held in Houston, which teams will make the trip? Find out below which schools are the biggest favorites to make an appearance this spring.
The Purdue Boilermakers are Big Ten champs and are the East Region's No. 1 seed. Purdue is led by big man Zach Edey who used his size to average a double-double on the season. Purdue enters the tournament at 29-5 and will face off against either Texas Southern or FDU in Round 1.
Notable names accompanying the Boilermakers in the East are Tennessee, Marquette, Duke, and Kentucky just to name a few. Purdue has had it's doubters this season but is the undeniable favorite to come out of its Region.ended the season on an absolute tear, winning their final 10 games to close out the regular season before falling to heartbreak in the Pac-12 championship game to Arizona.
They're one of the hottest teams in college basketball and are led offensively by senior guard Jaime Jaquez Jr. . The 6-foot-7 guard was named a three-time Pac-12 Player of the Week this season and will be extremely instrumental to the Bruins' success in March. Something else to look at when taking the Bruins at +275 is the presence of Kansas in the West Region, as the Jayhawks are +400 as the No. 1 seed. Gonzaga also looms on that side of the bracket. UCLA may be favored, but its path to the Final Four is arguably much more difficult than the other favorites.
