Beer gardens and green spaces were full of people taking advantage of the warmest day of the year so far
The sun has well and truly shone on Manchester today.
There has hardly been a cloud in the sky, and in true Mancunian fashion, it has been taken advantage of. Beer gardens began to fill up from the late morning, helped by Manchester United fans preparing for their three o'clock kick off against Wolverhampton Wanderers. And the usual green spaces were filled with people basking in the warm weather. Piccadilly Gardens gave people a chance to lie in the sun before it was transformed into a Eurovision party zone.C with shorts and t-shirts along with summery dresses on full display in the city. Stevenson Square in the Northern Quarter was as busy as always with Exchange Square full of families taking advantage of the water fountains to cool off.
