Man Utd are considering a move for Bayern Munich ace Ryan Gravenberch ahead of the transfer window slamming shut.
A number of Manchester United supporters do not believe that Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch is the answer to the club's ongoing midfield problems.
Van de Beek has been the subject of interest from Spanish side Real Sociedad in recent weeks and talks have been held between the two clubs. He joined United in 2020 and has failed to have any sort of impact.United have, of course, already bolstered their midfield options this summer with the signing of Mason Mount from Chelsea, but he is not the kind of midfielder that can offer defensive nous and support to Casemiro.
Gravenberch made north of 100 appearances at Ajax under Ten Hag, meaning the United manager knows exactly what the Reds would be getting from the youngster if they managed to sign him ahead of the transfer window closing on September 1. United, who desperately need another defensive-minded midfielder, have also been closely linked with Fiorentina's Sofyan Amrabat.
For that reason, therefore, some United supporters are not convinced that Gravenberch, despite his talent levels, is the solution to what the club currently needs in the engine room. Below, MEN Sport has taken a close look at what they have had to say on social media.
