Firefighters used cutting gear to free him - his condition isn't life-threatening, say police
One man was taken to hospital with leg injuries after firefighters rescued him from the wreckage of a car crash, it has been confirmed.
Today Greater Manchester Police confirmed he was taken to hospital with leg injuries. A spokeswoman said the injuries were not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. The emergency services were called to the junction at 9.30pm following a collision involving two vehicles. Residents reported hearing a loud bang.
Firefighters remained at the scene until late in the evening. Police and paramedics were also called to the scene. The GMP spokeswoman said there have been no arrests.
