A 19-year-old man was fatally shot in Wheaton; two people were taken into custody, Montgomery County police say.
At approximately 3:40 p.m., Montgomery County Police officers responded to the 1000 block of Good Hope Drive in Wheaton for a person shot. When officers arrived, they located a man in the parking lot of a residential area and tried to save his life. .
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service responded to the scene and provided aid to the victim. The victim was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A description of a vehicle was issued to officers, police said. Two people were taken into custody after a brief pursuit, according to police.
