San Antonio police say one person is dead following a shooting on the city’s Northwest Side early Thursday morning.
Officers were called around 2:45 a.m. to the Preserve at Westover Hills apartment complex in the 1500 block of Northwest Crossroads, not far from Loop 410 and Culebra Road after receiving word of a shooting.
According to police, a man in his 30s or 40′s was shot in the head and killed during an altercation with a woman. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the woman has been detained and homicide detectives are now questioning her. It is unclear how the man and woman are related. SAPD said there was a small child inside the apartment at the time of the shooting. The child was not hurt in the incident.
