A man was shot Tuesday afternoon during an encounter with police at a New Jersey Turnpike service area, investigators said.
The incident happened around 1:45 p.m. at the Clara Barton Service Area in Oldmans Township in Salem County, according to a brief statement from the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office.and the United States Marshals Service, but it was unclear who shot the man or how severe his injuries were.No other details were released Tuesday night as the shooting remained under investigation by the office.
