A man died late Thursday in a shooting near the Shenandoah subdivision in southwest Houston that investigators say might have been a robbery gone wrong.
Officers around 10 p.m. responded to a shooting in the 6300 block of Rampart Street and arrived to find a man in his 50s with several gunshot wounds, Lt. Ignacio Izaguirre, of the Houston Police Department, told On Scene reporters. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.Witnesses told police a man was taking a woman back to her vehicle at the same time that a sedan drove south on Rampart Street, turned around and parked near the corner of Rampart and Elm streets, Izaguirre said.
