Trevone Miller had shot and killed teen Brayla Stone in order to 'keep Ms. Stone from revealing that they were in a sexual relationship,' according to court documents.
A man in Arkansas was sentenced to 50 years in prison for the murder of a transgender teen, in what the authorities claim was an attempt to hide their relationship.
He entered a guilty plea to first-degree murder earlier this month according to the news station KARK. His sentencing documents stated the plea reduced his sentence from capital murder, in exchange for the 50-year sentence imposed by Pulaski County Circuit Judge Barry Sims. He will have to serve 35 years before he can qualify for parole.
In October of that year, Miller made a deal to plead guilty to aggravated robbery and testified against the other two, and managed to drop the capital murder charge against him in the exchange.
