The badly decomposing body of a pensioner who died at home in Gloucester, was only found when the neighbour living below complained that maggots were crawling in through his window, an inquest has heard.
An inquest into David Hepworth’s death was told it was impossible to determine the cause
David Hepworth, 78, died sometime between September 26 and October 19, when police forced entry to his flat in Kingsholm, Gloucester, due to concerns for his welfare. The condition of Mr Hepworth’s remains also made it impossible to determine how he died, the coroner was told.
