Cops swooped in the west end this afternoon
Police raced to the popular beauty spot after receiving reports of a body being found in the water near Great Western Road at roughly 12.15pm today.
Authorities have since cordoned off the area, with entrances to the the city's Botanic Gardens and the Kelvin Walkway also closed.The identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed.
