The man crashed his car into a fence, before making his way into a farm. Little did he know, it was a farm run by inmates.
The man, 46, had been on the run from police since Monday after allegedly going on a crime spree in the Hunter Valley wine region north of Sydney.
The next morning, a stolen gray Toyota Hilux with lifted number plates caught the attention of cops. Police from Muswellbrook, roughly a 100 mile-drive from Gloucester, spotted the vehicle after it was taken to a service station in nearby Scone. Officers arrested the suspect and charged him with more than a dozen offenses, including stealing, trespassing, and resisting police.
