Craig Banks has been jailed for five years for the assault which left the woman 'not the same person'
Craig Banks, 44, had sex with the woman when she was asleep after a night of drinking and drug taking. Banks knew the woman but she had made it clear she did not want a sexual relationship with him, Preston Crown Court heard.
Paul Brookwell, prosecuting, told the court while the woman and her partner were in bed together, Banks walked into the bedroom and tried to get in bed with them. He left the room, but the following morning the woman woke to find Banks in bed with her and her partner nowhere to be seen. "The whole thing has completely changed me as a person. I am not who I was before and sometimes I wonder if I ever will be again."
