NORTH HOLLYWOOD — Homicide detectives Sunday were investigating the fatal shooting of a 52-year-old North Hollywood resident.
Around 3:25 p.m. Friday, North Hollywood Area patrol officers responded to a radio call of a shooting in the 6100 block of Carpenter Avenue and found Mario Palacios down in the street, suffering from a single gunshot wound, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.The preliminary investigation revealed that Palacios was walking south on Carpenter when a vehicle pulled alongside him and a shot was fired from within, according to police. The suspect drove away northbound on Carpenter.
