Man killed by hit-and-run driver in Otay Mesa [Breaking]
A man walking on an Otay Mesa road was struck by a vehicle and killed in a hit-and-run crash Sunday evening, San Diego police said.
The collision was reported shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Otay Mesa Road near Sanyo Avenue. The driver was heading east when the vehicle struck the pedestrian and then kept going, police said. It wasn’t known why the man was in the roadway. The pedestrian died before he could be taken to a hospital. He was described as being in his 50s. No other information was released.
