Man injured in south Houston shooting, police say
A man was injured late Monday in a shooting in the southern part of Houston, officials said.
Officers around 10:45 p.m. were dispatched to a report of a shooting in the 4400 block of Idaho Street, Lt. J.P. Horelica, of the Houston Police Department, told On Scene reporters. Police received the report through department technology that identifies possible gunshots, called ShotSpotter. A man was found unconscious in a vehicle with a gunshot graze wound to the head, Horelica said. He was transported to a hospital.
