The Reading man was shot by officers during the February 2022 incident but survived his injuries.

A man who was shot by police when he used a flamethrower and a vehicle to try to stop officers from arresting him last year pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and other charges on Thursday, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office.

Members of the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force were executing a warrant for GIlbaugh who was wanted for stalking, violating a protection from abuse, criminal trespass, burglary, vehicle theft and more by East Earl Township and Reading police departments, according to the DA’s office. He also was wanted on probation violations in Berks County and resisting arrest in Chester County.

He dropped the saw blade on the ground as he got into a tan Chrysler minivan that was parked in front of the home, the DA’s office said.
