A cordon has been set up outside the pub while investigations continue
A man is in a life-threatening condition after a reported stabbing outside a pub in Nottinghamshire. The incident in Kirkby-in-Ashfield. was reported to police just before 1am on Sunday 22 October.
A cordon is in place which covers the pub and the pavements outside and there will be an increased police presence in the area while a thorough investigation takes place. Detective Inspector Claire Gould, who is investigating the incident, said: “This was a nasty assault which has left the victim in a life-threatening condition.
“We would like to personally thank those witnesses for their help. You can expect to see an increased police presence in the area. We believe this was an isolated incident and there are no threats to the wider public.
