Man in court charged with murder after death of man following incident in Paisley
A man has appeared in court charged with murder after a 26-year-old died following an incident in Paisley.
Emergency services were called to the scene in the town’s Maxwellton Street at around 5.30pm on Sunday, July 23, following reports of an incident.Damon McDowall, 24, and Cameron Woods, 25, were arrested and appeared in Paisley Sheriff Court on July 25 charged with attempted murder. Both made no plea.
Today, August 2, Cameron Woods, from Paisley, appeared again charged with murder. He made no plea and was remanded in custody. He is due to appear again within 8 days.Police Scotland Detective Inspector Nicola Wake said: “We would like to thank the public for their assistance with our enquiries, following our earlier appeal.
“Enquiries are ongoing into the incident and I'd encourage anyone with information who hasn't already spoken to police to get in touch by calling 101, quoting incident 2647 of Sunday, 23 July, 2023.”
