A suspect was shot and another person is in custody after a pursuit that started in Thornton and ended in Castle Rock.
Abiye Adamu, 33, was taken into custody on Nov. 30, 2021, on charges related to a crime at 16th Avenue and Logan Street on Nov. 28, police said at the time. They also said he was believed to be involved in additional sexual assaults that month. On the night of Nov. 28, 2021, a Denver Police officer responded to North Pennsylvania Street for a report about a possible sexual assault, an arrest affidavit said.
The victim told police she was walking home when a sedan pulled up alongside her and eventually a man got out, grabbed her and told her to get into the car, the document said. After forcing her into the car, the victim said, the man produced a knife and held it against her"multiple times," the affidavit said.
