Kelli SmithDallas police arrested a 24-year-old man who is suspected of fatally shooting his girlfriend’s stepfather during an argument in a Red Bird apartment earlier this month, according to an arrest-warrant affidavit obtained Monday.the slaying of Mikel Ford
Ford’s stepdaughter told police that Ford came to her bedroom the night of the shooting and told Harris that he needed to be a better provider for the couple’s child, according to the affidavit. Harris fled the apartment as the stepdaughter ran to grab a towel to try to help Ford, the affidavit says.
