Emergency services raced to a disturbance on Farmeloan Road in Rutherglen after the alarm was raised at around 7pm on Tuesday.
Emergency services raced to a disturbance on Farmeloan Road in the South Lanarkshire town after the alarm was raised at around 7pm on Tuesday. Ambulance crews attended and a 38-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His death is being treated as suspicious.
Police believe that a number of other people were involved in the incident and they are appealing for information. Officers remained at the scene on Wednesday morning. “The death is being treated as suspicious and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances. A 39-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with possessing an offensive weapon. He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday, October 26, 2023.
