Greater Manchester Police attended a property on Hamerton Road, Manchester in connection with a criminal investigation
A huge emergency services presence descended on the scene outside the Roach Court apartments on Hamerton Road, Collyhurst after the man, aged in his 40s, 'fell from a height'. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident has been referred to Greater Manchester Police's Professional Standards Directorate and the Independent Office for Police Conduct . One Collyhurst resident said: "At around 7pm this evening I heard around seven loud sirens outside on the road. It is not unusual to hear that on the main Rochdale Road, so I just presumed they were heading to the city centre - but guessed something was serious due to the amount of them."
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "On Tuesday 20 February 2024, at around 7pm, Greater Manchester Police executed a warrant at a property on Hamerton Road, Manchester in connection with a criminal investigation.
