A man has been charged with trespassing on a protected site after he was arrested in the Royal Mews area adjacent to Buckingham Palace. Scotland Yard said the charge relates to an incident at 1.25am on 16 September when officers at the palace responded to a person climbing the wall and entering the Royal Mews.
Awad Rovalino, 25, of no fixed abode, has also been charged with attempted theft from a motor vehicle during the same incident.Buckingham Palace confirmed no members of the Royal Family were in residence at the time. The stables, home to the historic royal carriages, are responsible for all road travel arrangements for the King and Royal Family.
