Detectives are treating the incident as an attempted murder
A man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder after an alleged slashing in the middle of a Paisley street.
Emergency services rushed to Broomlands Street after they received reports of a disturbance at around 2.30pm yesterday. Medics attended to a 54-year-old man was allegedly seriously injured. His condition is currently unknown.A probe has been launched by police following the alleged slashing. Detectives are treating it as an attempted murder.Pictures show the road cordoned off by police at both ends, while officers stood guard.
Police are spotted standing alongside upturned wheelie bins, while a photographer from the force snaps pictures of the scene.
