Emergency services were called to Bell Street in Merchant City around 11.35pm on Saturday, June 10, following reports that a woman had been struck by a red car near to the junction with Parsonage Square.
Ambulance crews attended and she was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment where her condition was described as critical. Police said a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal after a 51-year-old man was charged in connection with the incident. A force spokesman said today: “A 51-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a serious road crash that happened around 11.35pm on Saturday, 10 June, 2023 in Bell Street, Glasgow.
