Incidents of speeding have become more common as a result of the quieter roads during the lockdown.
A man caught driving at 130 mph on a motorway in Surrey in the U.K. said he was trying to avoid catching coronavirus, police have revealed.Police described the incident on Twitter, posting:"An officer stopped a driver who was speeding on the #M25 at 130mph.
Incidents of speeding have become more common as a result of the quieter roads around the U.K. during the lockdown. The man was stopped by police as he drove from Coventry to Salford. Officers who discovered his wife was in the trunk because there wasn't enough room for her to sit in the car. "His wife could not fit in the vehicle so she was traveling in the boot for the return journey when stopped on the M6 Cheshire. The driver was given a TOR [traffic offense report] for the offense."
