A Tennessee man was arrested after an FBI investigation revealed he threatened to "shoot up" a D.C. Planned Parenthood facility.
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - A Tennessee man was arrested on Wednesday after an FBI investigation revealed he made threats online to "shoot up" a Planned Parenthood facility in Washington D.C.
According to the criminal complaint, Cooper went by username"Jacco" on the website iFunny, where users share photos, videos and discussion topics. The complaint says on Aug. 13, Cooper responded to another user's post stating,"Make sure you tell them about how I plan to shoot up a Planned Parenthood facility in Washington D.C., on August 19 at 3 p.m."
Cooper created a separate post on the same day, according to the complaint. It said,"If you are a member of the FBI, CIA, whatever, and are on my profile I will trace your IP address and kill you if the opportunity arises. And I am dead serious about this." Cooper faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison if convicted. The preliminary and detention hearing is set for Aug. 26.
