Man ambushed, shot by 6 people while sitting in his car
A car window a bullet hole after six men allegedly ambushed the car and shot at four men inside, Houston police said.One man was injured after he and three other men were allegedly ambushed and shot at while sitting in their car in northeast Houston Sunday afternoon, Houston Police Department officials said.
Four men were sitting inside a car near 9360 West FM 1960 around 1:40 p.m. when six other men allegedly ran up to the car and began shooting, firing eight gunshots in total, Houston police said. Three of the men inside were unharmed, but one man sitting in the back seat was struck by a bullet to his back and possibly suffered a spinal injury, according to officials. As of Sunday afternoon, police said the man was in surgery and expected to survive.
The men sitting inside the truck told police they didn't recognize the men who shot at them, according to Houston police. The shooting is being investigated by the Houston Police Department's Major Assaults Unit.
