Jaswant Singh Chail was spotted in the grounds of Windsor Castle with the weapon on Christmas Day in 2021.
A 21-year-old has admitted trying to harm the late Queen after he was caught in the grounds of one of her residences with a loaded crossbow.
The video, of a hooded man wielding a crossbow, was captioned: “I’m sorry for what I’ve done and what I will do. I will attempt to assassinate Elizabeth, Queen of the Royal Family.” It was alleged that Chail had previously applied to join the Ministry of Defence Police and the Grenadier Guards, in a bid to get close to the royal family. Prosecutors allege he sought revenge against the establishment for the treatment of Indians.
