During one robbery, in Union County, a robber fired a gun at passersby, authorities say.
pleaded guilty Tuesday to being the getaway driver for several other armed heists in two states, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for New Jersey announced.
Lopez was initially charged in the case, but has since died. The U.S. Attorney’s Office did not say when or how, and court documents in the case do not explain it. Officers moved in on the vehicle and detained Feliciano-Estremera, but Lopez ran and officers caught him moments later and found the bag, and a gun nearby, they say. The store clerk reported being robbed at gunpoint by a man who matched Lopez’s description.
