Officers were called to the Carlisle branch on Friday morning
Mark George Kenney was arrested on Friday as police responded to reports of a burglary at the discount chain's Carlisle store on English Street. The response included canine officers and led to the arrest of the 44-year-old.
Cumbria Police today charged Kenney in with burglary in connection with the incident and he is due to go before court today.A police spokesperson said: "A man will appear at court this morning charged with burglary at a B&M store in Carlisle. Mark George Kenney, aged 44, of Newcastle Street, Carlisle, will appear at North Cumbria Magistrates’ Court today .
"The charge follows an incident reported to police at 10:22pm on Friday 22 September at the B&M store in English Street. A swift response by officers, including the force’s Dog Section, resulted in an arrest."
