James Myers will appear in court in February
A has been charged with drink-driving after a damaged gas pipe caused residents in Salford to be evacuated in the early hours of the morning.
Pictures released by Greater Manchester Police show the two damaged cars, as well as a breathalyser reading of 118 microgrammes per 100ml of breath - over three times the legal limit. Myers is due to appear in court in February. A stretch of the road was cordoned off following the crash, with some residents evacuated from their homes as a 'precaution' by Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service .
